Dr Nikos Malliaropoulos is a world-renowned Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine, currently based at Barts Health NHS Trust and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
With over three decades of experience treating elite athletes, Olympians, and complex musculoskeletal injuries, Dr Malliaropoulos brings unparalleled expertise to patients seeking precision diagnosis and advanced treatment for sports-related conditions.
A Senior Clinical Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Medicine, Dr Malliaropoulos has been instrumental in shaping the future of SEM education in the UK and Europe. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK), Secretary General and Co-Founder of ECOSEP, and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed research papers on sports injuries, muscle and tendon pathology, and ultrasound-guided interventions.

Dr Nikos Malliaropoulos has over 30 years of clinical experience in Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM), with an international career spanning elite sport, academia, and NHS consultancy.
He served as Chief Medical Officer for the Hellenic Olympic Team at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and was Director of the Sports Medicine Clinic for the Hellenic National Track and Field Association (SEGAS) from 1986 to 2019.
Dr Malliaropoulos has managed thousands of elite and amateur athletes across Europe, and currently holds consultant roles at both Barts Health NHS Trust and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
His extensive clinical experience is complemented by a strong academic track record, having authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications in sports injury prevention, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and tendon rehabilitation.
