About Me

I am a London-based consultant upper GI laparoscopic and general surgeon specializing in oesophageal and gastric cancer, gallstones, reflux, and hernias. I practice at University College London Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital. With MBBS and FRCS qualifications, I have extensive experience in oesophageal and gastric conditions, focusing on resection for oesophagogastric cancer. I’m actively involved in research and have numerous publications.

I received my medical education at Maulana Azad Medical College in India, graduating in 1993. Following this, I pursued further training in the UK, culminating in my FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2005. My specialist training in the South East Thames region provided me with invaluable experience at two renowned oesophagogastric cancer units. This experience has shaped my current practice and research interests. I have a particular passion for innovative resection techniques in oesophagogastric cancer treatment. Throughout my career, I’ve contributed significantly to my field through research, having authored over 25 publications and presentations. I am committed to advancing surgical techniques and patient care in upper gastrointestinal and general surgery.
