Dr Abed Arnaout is a highly qualified Consultant in Cellular Pathology based at St George’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. He has been a valued member of the southwest pathology group since 2014, where he has demonstrated his expertise in Gastrointestinal, Liver and Breast Pathology.
In addition to his role at St George’s, Dr Arnaout has a wealth of experience in his field. He served as the Head of Cellular Pathology at Croydon University Hospital for seven years, starting in 1999, during which time he made significant contributions to the quality of the service provided. Thanks to his efforts, the Histopathology department at Croydon has since been centralised with St George’s, ensuring a more streamlined and efficient service for patients in the region.

Biography
After completing his training at several teaching hospitals in London, including Charing Cross and Westminster Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and St George’s Hospital, he was appointed as a consultant in 1999 at Croydon University Hospital. From his very first week in the role, he assumed the position of Lead Consultant.

Dr Abed Arnaout’s mission is to ensure a high level of efficiency in the handling and reporting of surgical specimens, whilst continuously striving to improve the quality of work within the department. He is committed to providing SPR Training of the highest standard and participating in clinical trials with other hospitals in the region. In addition, he maintains continuous involvement with research projects alongside the Colorectal and Breast teams at Mayday Hospital.
