Private Endocrinologist in Central London

Hormones and metabolism affect almost everything: energy, mood, weight, fertility, sleep, temperature tolerance, and cardiovascular risk. When something is off, it can feel vague, frustrating, and easily dismissed.

At LSDC Healthcare, we provide consultant-led endocrinology in the City of London, minutes from Liverpool Street, with rapid access to targeted investigations and a clear plan from the first appointment.

Our team includes Dr Andrew Solomon and Dr Shaughan Ude, offering specialist assessment across thyroid disease, diabetes, pituitary and adrenal disorders, reproductive endocrinology (including PCOS), and metabolic/weight-related syndromes.

Endocrinology in London: What We Do

Endocrinology is the medical specialty focused on hormone systems and metabolic regulation. When hormones are disrupted, symptoms can range from fatigue and unexplained weight change to thyroid disease, diabetes, fertility disruption, bone loss, and complex metabolic risk.

Our job is to identify the true driver, confirm it with the right tests, and build a treatment plan that is practical, evidence-based, and aligned to your life.

Patient-Centred Care

Most endocrine problems don’t need endless appointments, they need structured thinking.

At LSDC, our endocrine care is built around:

  • Consultant-only care (senior endocrinologist from start to finish)

  • Targeted testing with clear interpretation.

  • Integrated care with cardiology, women’s health, gastroenterology, dermatology and dietetics when systems overlap

  • Accessible appointments including same-day / next-day availability where possible

  • A defined results pathway: what we’re testing, why, and what the next step will be.

What symptoms might suggest a hormone imbalance?

Symptoms can include unexplained weight change, fatigue, heat/cold intolerance, palpitations, hair or skin changes, menstrual irregularity, low libido, mood changes, thirst/urination changes, or persistent “brain fog”. A consultation clarifies whether symptoms are hormonal and what tests are appropriate.

Do you offer rapid access to endocrinology tests in London?

Yes. Where clinically indicated, we arrange targeted investigations such as comprehensive hormone blood panels and endocrine profiles, with imaging pathways coordinated as part of a structured plan.

Do you assess thyroid problems (underactive, overactive thyroid, nodules and goitre)?

Yes. We assess and manage hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, autoimmune thyroid disease, thyroid nodules/lumps and goitre, including appropriate blood tests and ultrasound-based investigation where needed.

Do you offer thyroid ultrasound and thyroid nodule assessment?

Yes. Thyroid ultrasound can be arranged to assess nodules, enlargement, or structural thyroid concerns. If needed, further investigation such as fine-needle aspiration biopsy can be coordinated based on clinical findings.

Can you help with diabetes management and glucose technology?

Yes. Diabetes care may include optimisation of medication and insulin plans, guidance on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), interpretation of trends, and risk-reduction strategies tailored to your lifestyle and long-term health goals.

Do you assess adrenal and pituitary conditions?

Yes. We investigate and manage adrenal and pituitary disorders such as cortisol imbalance, adrenal insufficiency, incidental adrenal findings, prolactin issues, pituitary adenomas, and hormone-axis abnormalities, with imaging coordinated where appropriate.

Do you treat PCOS and reproductive hormone problems?

Yes. We assess PCOS and endocrine-related menstrual irregularities, fertility-related hormone concerns, and broader reproductive endocrine issues. Your plan may include targeted testing, metabolic risk assessment, and evidence-based treatment options.

Can you help with testosterone deficiency or men’s hormonal health?

Yes. If symptoms and testing suggest a hormonal issue, we provide structured evaluation and discuss evidence-based management options, including careful monitoring where treatment is appropriate.

Do you offer medical weight management and metabolic health support?

Yes. Endocrine causes of weight change can be assessed and addressed. Where appropriate, management may include metabolic profiling, medical optimisation, and supervised weight-related interventions aligned with your health profile and goals.

Do you assess calcium, parathyroid and bone metabolism problems?

Yes. We investigate calcium and parathyroid disorders and endocrine contributors to metabolic bone disease. Where appropriate, bone density assessment (DEXA) can be arranged via partner services, with treatment planning and follow-up.

How quickly can I be seen by an endocrinologist at LSDC Healthcare?

Appointments are arranged promptly, and where clinically indicated we aim to coordinate investigations efficiently. Your clinician will outline a clear plan for tests, results, and follow-up from the outset.

Can you provide a second opinion in endocrinology?

Yes. Second opinions are available for thyroid disease, diabetes plans, pituitary/adrenal findings, abnormal hormone results, and complex or persistent symptoms where clarity is needed before committing to a treatment pathway.

When should I seek urgent medical help?

Seek urgent medical assessment for severe symptoms such as chest pain, severe shortness of breath, confusion, collapse, severe dehydration, suspected very low blood sugar, or rapidly worsening illness—particularly if you have diabetes or adrenal disease. If you are unsure, it is safer to seek urgent review.

How do I book an appointment with a private endocrinologist in London at LSDC Healthcare?

You can book by completing the LSDC Healthcare enquiry form or calling our clinic team. We will guide you to the most appropriate endocrinologist and outline the next steps for investigations, results, and follow-up.
