LSDC Healthcare – Terms & Conditions of Service

At LSDC Healthcare, we are committed to delivering safe, transparent, and high-quality medical care. 

 

These terms outline the rights and responsibilities of both patients and our clinic, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding throughout your journey with us. 

 

We encourage you to review them carefully before attending your appointment.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between you (the patient or your representative, sponsor, or guarantor) and LSDC Healthcare. 

 

By attending appointments, receiving care, or using any of our services (including phone, email, or virtual consultation), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

 

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must notify us in writing before your appointment, and any variation must be confirmed in writing by LSDC Healthcare.

2. Your Care

You will be under the care of a named Consultant who may involve other healthcare professionals as necessary.

 

Most Consultants operate independently and not as employees of LSDC Healthcare.

3. Consent to Treatment

Consent will be obtained for all procedures. Patients under 16 require a parent/guardian’s consent. 

 

Adults lacking capacity must be represented by someone with legal authority.

4. Financial Responsibility

4.1 Self-Pay
Payment is due in full on the day of service. A deposit may be required when costs are uncertain.

 

4.2 Insurance
It is your responsibility to confirm cover with your insurer. Any shortfall, co-pay, excess, or denied claim must be paid by you within 14 days.

 

4.3 Sponsored Patients
Sponsors must provide a valid Letter of Guarantee. You remain responsible for any unpaid amount.

 

4.4 Non-Payment
LSDC may withhold services (e.g. results, letters) until payment is received.

Overdue accounts attract 10% monthly interest (compounded).

 

Balances over 30 days may be passed to debt recovery services with a 100% surcharge added to cover legal costs.

Any discounts will be revoked if payment is not received in full.

5. Cancellations

  • <24 hours’ notice: 100% charge

  • 24–48 hours’ notice: 50% charge

  • Monday appointments must be cancelled by 11am the preceding Thursday

  • Most insurers do not cover cancellation fees

6. Limitations and Liability

6.1 No Guarantee of Outcome
Medical care does not guarantee specific results or recovery timelines.

 

6.2 Clinical Advice Disclaimer
LSDC Healthcare is not liable for how advice is used by patients or third parties (e.g. GPs, insurers).

 

6.3 Independent Consultant Disclaimer
Most consultants are independent contractors. LSDC is not liable for their clinical acts or omissions.

7. Technology and AI Use

7.1 AI Tools
We use AI dictation tools. While reviewed, errors may occur. We are not liable for transcription inaccuracies not caused by negligence.

 

7.2 Third-Party Software
We use trusted third-party systems (e.g. booking, payments). We are not liable for service disruptions or data breaches caused by these platforms.

8. Data Protection and GDPR

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

 

  • Data is used for clinical care, billing, audit, and internal analytics
  • Data may be shared with labs, insurers, and healthcare partners
  • Anonymised data may be used for research or service improvement
  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond our control (e.g. staff illness, IT failure, transport disruption, pandemics).

 

No compensation is available for indirect losses such as missed work or travel.

10. Behaviour Policy

We have a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, threatening, or disruptive conduct. We reserve the right to:

  • Cancel consultations

  • Remove patients from the clinic

  • Decline future bookings

11. Reputation Protection

Publishing false or defamatory content about LSDC Healthcare, its staff, or clinicians may result in legal action for reputational harm.

12. Valuables

LSDC accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged personal items on the premises.

13. Refunds

Refunds will be processed:

  • After completion of care

  • Once all charges are settled

  • To the original payment method only

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

15. Consent to Electronic Communication

By using our services, you consent to receiving communications (including medical information) by email, WhatsApp, or SMS. If you prefer not to, please notify us in writing.

16. Video Surveillance & Recording

CCTV may be in operation. Some consultations may be recorded for training or safety. All recordings are stored securely and in accordance with GDPR.

17. Telehealth Limitations

Remote consultations are convenient but do not replace physical examination. LSDC is not liable for delayed diagnosis due to telehealth limitations.

18. Patient Indemnity

You confirm that all medical information you provide is accurate and complete. LSDC is not liable for harm resulting from missing or incorrect history.

19. Website & Marketing Disclaimer

Information provided on our website or brochures is for general information only and does not constitute personal medical advice.

20. Agreement to Terms

By attending any appointment or using LSDC Healthcare’s services, you:

  • Accept all Terms and Conditions in full

  • Confirm that any concerns were raised in writing before your appointment
